Our Year R outdoor area was beginning to look a bit tired and was often unusable in wet weather. With help from PoGo’s and with funding from school, we were able to purchase our new ‘Number Shed’ and re-landscape the whole grounds. Year R now have a lovely new mud pit, a large artificial grass
Dad’s Club was held on Sunday 9th February. At this session Dad’s/Grandad’s and children made their own pizzas. We had a great turnout and lots of pizzas were made! We found out about taking care of our environment by not dropping rubbish, not wasting resources and by recycling materials carefully. We learnt 3 very important words: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. Our Young Governor’s wanted to say a big “Thank you” to everyone who bought books from “The Travelling Book Company”. With the money raised, we were able to buy over 60 new home reading books for the children to enjoy. The book company will be returning in March and we are looking forward to being
Children and staff looked fabulous in their Christmas jumpers on Friday 13th December. The Christmas jumper day was to raise monies for Save the Children and in total we managed to raise £112 for this great charity – well-done everyone! Year 1 was invited to attend the Christmas Tree Festival held at St Mary’s Church. Both classes set off to the Church after lunch and enjoyed the sunny wintery walk.
