For ‘Children in Need’ day on Friday 16th November the theme was ‘Do your thing’.  Children and staff were invited to dress up as characters or a profession they would like to be when they grow up for a £1.00 donation.  The children came in some fabulous outfits!  At lunchtime, the children enjoyed eating Pudsey

This year Gomer Infant School supported the Rotary International Shoebox Scheme for disadvantaged children in Albania, Montenegro, Moldova and Romania.  We had received a large donation of presents from our families supporting the charity. Families that participated filled shoeboxes with small educational, health and hygiene items, together with a £1.00 donation and indicated which age group

The school kitchen had a surprise for the children this Halloween!  At lunchtime, the dinner staff dressed up and decorated the hall and the children had a choice of spookily-themed desserts.  

At the start of this term, we received a delivery of free Premier League Primary Stars equipment pack. Stocked full of items including Nike match footballs, training bibs and numbered and lettered floor markers, the Premier League equipment pack will aid teacher delivery of active lessons across the curriculum. This week we played traditional games with the children.  There were board games, colouring/drawing, lego and more.  The Dad’s/Grandad’s/Uncle’s explained the rules of the traditional games and showed the children how to play. After the success of previous years, we celebrated Harvest Festival this year by collecting donations of food for the food bank.  Thank you to everyone for their generous donations to Gosport and Fareham basics bank.  Our assembly was conducted by Rev Chris from St Mary’s church and the children sang songs they have been learning about the

Mrs. Russell and some members from the Dad’s club gave their time on Saturday morning to tidy up the car park garden areas.  The Dad’s/ Grandads and children all helped weed and plant new flowers.  The results look amazing!  Thank you to everyone for helping on Saturday morning to improve our school environment.
