In cool time we are trying really hard to practise writing instructions for lots of different things. We know we need a title, a what you need, a what you do and a don't forget section.
This week we have looked at how to be safe while learning in the forest. We have also been exploring the forest using our senses. Exploring by looking at colours, listening for sounds, touching and feeling textures, smelling and tasting hot chocolate Yummy! We are now learning to work as a team like Super TW in the forest.
Part of Year R learning this week has been about the Chinese New Year. The children have been painting their names in Chinese writing and also learning the lion dance.
Year 1 learning this term has included learning about deciduous and evergreen trees. Year 1 have been out in the school grounds to identify deciduous and evergreen trees.
Congratulations to Jenson in Year 2 who is the winner of the 'Be Bright, Be Seen' poster competition. The winning poster was selected from all year groups entries and judged by Gomer Junior School. Jenson will receive a book bag filled with hi-vis accessories. The poster can be seen around the school.

Dad's club took place Sunday 15th January 2017, this week the children with their Dad's/ Grandad's and Uncle's made pizza! After a busy first session making pizza everyone stopped for refreshments and bacon sandwiches before embarking on other exciting building activities. Today we held with the Junior school 'Be Bright Be Seen' day to raise awareness to children about the importance of clothing and being seen when out and about.
