We are really looking forward to World Book Day tomorrow. Following on from the Year R Supertato story, the children have made some brilliant characters. Can you recognise who is who from the following characters (Elsa, Rapunzel, Belle, Harry Potter, Hungry caterpillar, Cat in Hat, Highway ray)?? P.S don’t forget to remember your Pyjamas tomorrow!
Today is St David’s day, we have enjoyed finding out about this. Some children made daffodils and wrote some facts! Mrs. Jones challenged herself by writing some Welsh words and reading a story in Welsh!
We hope you enjoyed Mrs. Lloyd’s storytime ‘Can I have a hug?’. It had some lovely ideas about what we can do when missing someone. We also loved the messages in the story and our favourite part was looking at the stars. ‘The stars shine over everyone & we all see the moon. They sparkle
Today Mrs. Duffy’s assembly we met Jigsaw Jo and Paws who will be supporting us with our learning through our new PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Education) programme. This half term we will be exploring the theme of ‘Dreams and Goals’ What is your goal for this half term?

During half term, it is Valentine’s day & Shrove Tuesday (pancake day). Our Aspens catering team did some delicious themed treats this week. Mrs. Webb’s Service club has been a little different this half-term (via zoom) but the children have continued to have a great time. The children received all the essentials to make bird feeders & plant daffodil bulbs. We have loved seeing the smiley faces online and look forward to more fun next half-term.
Hampshire library service has a ‘Winter Reading Challenge’ for children this half term holidays. This year’s reading challenge is all about getting cosy together to share the love of reading.
