At this week's after school service club, the children enjoyed making fruit kebabs and playing games.

A small group of children represented our school at a Gosport KS1 maths competition this Monday held at Bedenham Primary School.  Jessica and Joshua from Year 1, Wendy and Jack from Year 2 worked fantastically as a team and wowed Mrs Hughes with their maths skills.  Well done to the children for representing Gomer Infant School.

Gomer Infant School have this week received a certificate from Save the Children for our Christmas jumper fundraising day on 16th December 2016.  The day saw lots of children and staff dressed in jumpers with lights, tinsel and even music, many children and staff having created their own designs.  We raised in total £138.97 for

Congratulations to Jenson in Year 2 who is the winner of the 'Be Bright, Be Seen' poster competition.  The winning poster was selected from all year groups entries and judged by Gomer Junior School.  Jenson will receive a book bag filled with hi-vis accessories.  The poster can be seen around the school.

Dad's club took place Sunday 15th January 2017, this week the children with their Dad's/ Grandad's and Uncle's made pizza!  After a busy first session making pizza everyone stopped for refreshments and bacon sandwiches before embarking on other exciting building activities.  The next Dad's club is on Sunday 12th February 2017 from 9am until 11am,

Today we held with the Junior school 'Be Bright Be Seen' day to raise awareness to children about the importance of clothing and being seen when out and about.  The Junior school children designed a poster to advertise the event and came to an assembly to promote road safety.  Children and staff came in with

Last term we extended our forest learning from  individual lessons in the  forest to whole mornings.  Every class has had at least 2 mornings.  Although the cross curricular activities will be different in each year group the outcomes are very similar, the children are developing their skills of team work, resilience and problem solving.  We

On Friday 18th November, our school supported Children in Need with all pupils and staff coming dressed in spots!  This raised over £166 for this worthy cause.  Everyone got the opportunity to have a Pudsey themed dinner and meet Pudsey himself in assembly.  A big thank you to all families and staff.
