We have been learning about and celebrating the Chinese New Year. We launched our learning with an assembly and finished with a delicious Chinese themed lunch cooked by Hc3s. We even had Rabbit shaped biscuits to celebrate the year of the Rabbit. Some Year R children walked to the Co-op to buy some Chinese ingredients,
The children have been enjoying our new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Book Share class assemblies. During this time we share special stories and have discussions around important themes. So far we have read these two books and have a wide selection of other books to chose from in our library.
A very beautiful morning St Mary’s Church, Alverstoke, for our whole school nativity. It’s been a long time since we have been able to do this together and we are really proud of all of the children. We had an absolutely fantastic time at our whole School trip to the Panto The Theatre Royal Portsmouth Guildhall. The children were dancing in their seats and amazed us all with their fabulous behaviour. We are so proud of them all. Our Art Champions went to St Mary’s church to decorate our beautiful Gomer Christmas tree. The decorations were made by the children across the school and we are proud to be part of this fantastic festive community event. Today the children enjoyed a sport related World Cup day. Everybody looked the part in their kits and sports gear and a football themed lunch was enjoyed by all!! Come on England!
