Twelve of our Year R children were selected to represent Gomer at a Racket and Tennis skills festival at Alverstoke Tennis club in March. The children competed against teams from other local infant schools on a lovely sunny afternoon. A big thank you to those parents who stayed to help with the event!
As part of our space topic this term, Year 2 children had a visit from the Space Dome. The dome allows a whole class to view planets and stars at 360 degree viewing, giving children a different learning experience. Everyone had a great morning with lots of learning!
We are working with Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) to deliver cricket coaching to our children in year 2 for the first time. Through funding from a charity called Chance to Shine, HCB will help to develop fundamental skills in younger children and create a passion for the game of cricket at an early age. The
