This week we have looked at how to be safe while learning in the forest.  We have also been exploring the forest using our senses.  Exploring by looking at colours, listening for sounds, touching and feeling textures, smelling and tasting hot chocolate Yummy! Congratulations to Jenson in Year 2 who is the winner of the 'Be Bright, Be Seen' poster competition.  The winning poster was selected from all year groups entries and judged by Gomer Junior School.  Jenson will receive a book bag filled with hi-vis accessories.  The poster can be seen around the school.

Last term we extended our forest learning from  individual lessons in the  forest to whole mornings.  Every class has had at least 2 mornings.  Although the cross curricular activities will be different in each year group the outcomes are very similar, the children are developing their skills of team work, resilience and problem solving.  We

On Friday 18th November, our school supported Children in Need with all pupils and staff coming dressed in spots!  This raised over £166 for this worthy cause.  Everyone got the opportunity to have a Pudsey themed dinner and meet Pudsey himself in assembly.  A big thank you to all families and staff.
