Gomer Young Governors
Our Gomer Young Governors have a very important role to play in sharing our school community’s ideas and opinions about what we love about our fabulous school, and also what can make it even better! Two children have been selected from each class to attend these meetings. They were selected based on their application form and then voted for by their class mates.
Our current Gomer Young Governors are:
Hedgehogs: Sophie & Alfie
Squirrels: Ernest & Bertie
Dolphins: Lucy & Evelyn
Seals: Lily & Alexander
Bumblebees: Harry & Rohan
Butterflies: Ida & Holly
As a Gomer Young Governor it is important to share our own ideas, but also consider and share the ideas of others. This gives all children at Gomer Infant School the opportunity to express their views and to be heard. The Governors meet to discuss these important matters which have been raised by themselves and others, making decisions on which to focus on first. They then feed back to their peers.
Some recent topics for discussion in our meetings have been…
School dinners – can we improve these?
Outdoor areas – can we make these even better?
Watch this space for ideas and developments on some of the above focusses!
