On Friday 12th May 2017, our school and Gomer Junior school held a joint Emergency Services day to raise monies for a community defibrillator. Children and staff came dressed in emergency uniform or accessorised their school uniform for a donation. Throughout the day the emergency services came and visited with their emergency vehicles and practical demonstrations, this included the police, fire service, ambulance, coastguard and GAFIRS. After school both school’s parent associations sold cakes and goodies. The day was a huge success and the children had lots of learning experiences. With the amount raised by both schools and also donations from The National Union of Teachers Gosport and Fareham Association and Waitrose we have secured enough funds to purchase the community defibrillator. Thank you to everyone that took part including PoGo’s, the emergency services and those that donated.
