On Friday 6th October, we celebrated Red, White and Blue Day, www.redwhiteblueday.co.uk Our school inviting children & staff to wear red, white & blue for a £1.00 donation. The day was to celebrate Women in the Forces, commemorating the hundredth birthday of the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) and exploring all the roles women have taken up when serving their country.
The total amount raised was £155 and will be split between three long established charities which have close ties with our armed forces. Namely, The Soldier’s Charity, The Royal Airforce Benevolent Fund and The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
Thank you to everyone that took part and donated for this worthy cause.
