On Monday 19th June 2017 in the afternoon we held our sports day.  All the children were placed in teams of RED or LEMON and numbered 1 to 12.  Some of the Year 2’s were either a captain or a backstop.  A backstop is the person at the end of the team that makes sure that all members make it to the next activity.  There were 12 activities for teams to compete against each other.  This year the event was moved to an area with more shade and several additional gazebo’s were erected for the children’s safety.  Thank you to the parents that helped with the gazebo’s.  After an hour of fun, all children went back to their classrooms to enjoy an ice lolly.  Thank you to PoGo’s for providing the ice lollies for the children and setting up a stall to provide refreshments and ice lollies to parents.  The sports day results are team LEMON 12 – Emelia, Felicity, Eloise, Henry, Ben, Kaela & Kai won with 5.5 points and joint runners up were teams LEMON 7 – Nathan, Jonah, Lydia, Archie, Lilly-Monica, Kiki & Betty & LEMON 10 – Ruben, Ted, Bella, Finley, Ethan, Elodie, Isaac & Evie with 5 points.
