Here are some pictures of the Year R children going on a journey around the school with their own designed picnic baskets.

This term Year R have been learning about length and weight.  Here is a few pictures of their maths learning outside.

This week Year R have been learning in PE about balances.  The children worked in pairs and in groups to complete different balances.

This week Year R's forest learning was looking for signs of spring.  The children used magnifying glasses to look for evidence and used the iPads and cameras to take photos.  The children also did observational drawings of spring flowers.  The final activity of the morning was to work as a team like our learning powers

This week we have looked at how to be safe while learning in the forest.  We have also been exploring the forest using our senses.  Exploring by looking at colours, listening for sounds, touching and feeling textures, smelling and tasting hot chocolate Yummy! We are now learning to work as a team like Super TW in the forest.

Part of Year R learning this week has been about the Chinese New Year.  The children have been painting their names in Chinese writing and also learning the lion dance.

Year R pupils and parents enjoyed their morning at The Big Draw event.  The children, parents and staff created  exciting art work relating to the forest.  These works of art can be seen around the school!
