Year 1 have been learning this term about the sea and to support their learning a trip was arranged to Stokes Bay on the morning of Thursday 13th July 2017. Children, staff and volunteers left the school at 9.30am that sunny morning and walked to the beach. During the morning the children painted a picture of a beach scene, wrote a postcard, read pirate books and took part in a scavenger hunt along the beach. A picnic lunch was brought to Year 1 and after lunch everyone walked back to school for the afternoon session.
